We explored different options for content, including games and tips & hacks. Our final version wove together the existing People Products typographic treatment with the overhead image style. The final product was a fun and energetic book.
Staples Furniture Guide
Strategy
Showcase quick-ship, commercial office furniture to inspire customers to revamp their workspace.

Given only existing and vendor-provided photography, we created a cohesive and elevated book, showing customers how easily and quickly they could upgrade their office space.
Staples Best Sellers Catalog
Strategy
Take the monthly Staples Best Sellers catalog and elevate it. This catalog was typically product heavy — individual images on a white background. The goal was to move into a more aspirational space, showcasing products in such a way that the customer will want to slow down and explore a bit more.
Behind the Scenes
We were given the product categories, items to feature and and pagination. I sketched and planned the flow of the layouts and photography (mix of environmental, overhead and macro).
Working closely with the photographer and stylist, we planned all the sets and surfaces, ensuring a smooth photoshoot.
It was a big step forward, opening the door for more custom photography in the catalog space.
HRC Ad
Strategy
Create an ad for an HRC awards dinner booklet. The goal being to convey Staples' support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Behind the Scenes
We concepted options that ran the gambit from serious to silly. The selected option struck the right balance of supportive with a little bit of cheekiness.
