Behind the Scenes
One of the hallmarks of the Staples trade show experience is the archway created by a larger-than-life Staples mark. Due to the ongoing pandemic at the time, trade shows were shifted to a virtual experience and our goal was to create an experience that was close as possible to the live experience our vendors know and look for. We filtered and refined content from many different partners to create this streamlined, refined experience. The end result was a clean yet immediately recognizable interface. The examples below were used as direction for the company developing trade show site. These were mock-up graphics (hence the less-than-perfect shapes and the watermarks on the images).

One of the takeaways was that, for DentaQuest, posts using illustrations perform better than posts using photography. With that insight, I created a suite of carousels based off their existing illustration style, but bringing it from a single object on solid background into an illustrated vignette. Each one illustrating the subject of the post.
