It’s tough to say with 100% certainty that I was destined to design, but the cover of issue 9 of my kindergarten newsletter makes a pretty good case. Clearly, they saw my potential — assigning me to the prestigious, Halloween edition. And, boy, did I deliver! A composition that draws your eye across the page — the ghost’s arm leading you into the newsletter. A high level of detail — more for the reader to engage with. And the provocative choice of a see-through dress for the witch — not afraid to push the envelope! I’m sure it was all met by rave reviews (from my mom).

All silliness aside, there’s a nugget of truth to it. The drive to create, the curiosity, the meticulousness and attention to detail — these are all ingrained. I'm always thinking about what I would have done differently to some random sign I walk by, or trying to imagine what the strategy was and how they landed on the final design of a billboard, while I'm sitting in traffic.
So, here’s what you can expect from me — strategic and thoughtful design, creative solutions, a critical eye, big-picture thinking while still caring about every last detail, the knowledge that rules are made to be broken (or at least challenged), overly-long lists and 100% commitment to every project I work on.
